Eleven-year-old Teo Georgieve, who started at BSJ when he was nine, is the first recipient of the Tim Alcock Guitar Scholarship.
Tim Alcock was a student at the school until he died of cancer in 1982. He was 27. "When I first met Tim," says Bloom, "he exhibited a palpable spirit that affected everyone he met. Teo has the same spirit, and as a result I thought of memorializing Tim with this scholarship."
