The Bridge Course
The Bridge Course is an intensive 9-month course for high school seniors to take a year to gain core music knowledge before moving on to full-time college.
Studying music in college is a sizeable investment of money and time. For parents and the student to make the most of this investment, preparation is key.
Preparation will enhance the student's entire music school experience if they are well-equipped.
This course offers that preparation. It will accelerate music development in areas including:
- Intensive Ear Training
- Music Theory
- Instrumental Technique
- Improvisation
The one-on-one and group instruction, handouts, and expertise offered in this course will prepare any serious music student for advanced study. The Bridge Course is for instrumentalists as well as vocalists.
Once completed, The Bridge Course offers the following benefits:
- The student could test out of prerequisite courses, saving money on tuition
- Developing major confidence while rehearsing, playing, improvising, and performing
- Raising aesthetics to serve the student's development and artistic journey
The Bridge Course is offered September 1 - May 31st, but other useful Bloom School courses can begin any time.
