Tom Maslowski - Guitar and Bass
Tom Maslowski has been teaching electric bass and guitar in the South and Southwest suburbs for over ten years. Playing a variety of styles in bands such as The Real Gone, Play Do, Colonel Chloroform, and Beat he has played and composed for every kind of rock style (surf, metal, punk) as well as jazz and blues.
Tom began playing bass 18 years ago. Eight years later he picked up the guitar and within a few months he had built a proficiency in most styles. Since Tom comes from a musical family, playing and teaching are second nature.
Tom's ability to effectively teach beginners as well as advanced guitarists makes him unique, and a valuable addition to the school. His ability to play a wide variety of styles makes his teaching more effective and fun. Learning through imitation, creation, and improvisation Tom is a master at helping all of his students reach their goals.
Starting January 2011, Tom will begin Guitar From Zero courses at the Bloom School of Jazz.
