The Perfect CD Course

The Perfect CD Course has two formats. For instrumentalists it consists of one-on-one instruction with David Bloom for ten months, composing and arranging ten tunes. For vocalists, there is a group class led by David Bloom and Spider Saloff, for eight months producing eight tunes.

The course is perfect for you if you want a professionally produced retail-ready CD with dynamic performances of songs that love you–executed in the right tempos, keys and arrangements. We make the whole process easy and customized to you, so all you have to think about is your singing, composing or arranging.

It starts with your choice of tunes, from jazz and American songbook, or other genres, or original compositions. Utilize the Tunes You Love Inventory above to get started.

We guide you through all the steps from tune selection, refining, rehearsing, performing and recording. This fun, demanding experience results in a world-class CD.

Vocalists also work with Spider Saloff, award-winning vocalist. Together, they have over 80 years of combined teaching and producing experience.

The course includes repertoire development in one-on-one sessions and group classes and rehearsals, held at Bloom School of Jazz at 226 S. Wabash. Plus, there are performances for vocal students, and the capstone recording session in a professional studio.
